Line Art Library

Discover, Share and Celebrate Adult Colouring Books by Human Artists.

We’re on a mission to build the biggest library of human-made adult colouring books on the internet, designed to help you discover hidden gems or share your favourite artists, while supporting human art and keeping creativity alive.

It’s getting increasingly hard to find human artists among the growing market of colouring books designed with AI, stock-photos or pre-designed packs from Fiverr. Genuine artists get buried at the bottom of the bestseller lists – along with the beautiful books they’ve spent months or years creating for you.

The goal of this library is to shine a spotlight on the talented illustrators who deserve more attention in the mainstream market.

We’ll be updating this page as the plan becomes clearer, and to give you ways to be involved before our full launch.

How will this work?

Imagine Tripadvisor or Goodreads, but just for adult colouring books.

You’ll be able to submit your favourite books, browse categories, follow artists, curate lists, and leave reviews.

Our team will be reviewing every submission, and slowly building an ongoing database of all the books and artists we can find who fit our human-made criteria (below).

What can I do to help?

We’re collecting recommendations now!

Submit your favourite artists and books:

Do you have a favourite colouring book artist you think deserves a place in the Library?

If you’re an artist, a fan, or someone with a massive colouring collection, we’d love your suggestions for who you want to see in our Library and how you think it should work.

Use this form to tell us who they are and why you love them. The more information you share, the easier it is for our team.

Give your feedback:

Do you have any thoughts on features you’d like to see, or things you think should be included in the Line Art Library? Please tell us!

Submission Criteria:

To be included in the Line Art Library, entries must meet the following:

  • The colouring book must be primarily marketed to adults. Kids colouring books are not being included at this stage.
  • The artist must be credited on the book (collectives or publishers are allowed if the individual artists are clearly named).
  • Books may be hand drawn or digitally drawn, but AI-generated art or stock images are not eligible — we’re here to celebrate human creativity.
  • There must be public evidence that the artist worked on the book — such as behind-the-scenes sketches, a social media presence, or a clear history of drawing.
  • The book must be available in physical form (not just a digital PDF).
  • Both self-published and traditionally published books are welcome

As a part of building the Library, we’ll create a verification process and curated lists so you can clearly see which artists have been fully vetted and confirmed as human.

FAQ:

Who is building this?

This list is being collected and curated by Sarah Renae Clark and the team at sarahrenaeclark.com

When will this be available for public?

Honestly, we’re not sure. This is a big project, and we expect it to take a few months to get the first listings ready, along with all the features for submissions, reviews, and everything we want to make this the most useful resource possible. You can join the Library email list to find out as soon as we’re open.

How will you know if a book is human-made?

Part of our submission and verification process will include asking for evidence that books are human-created. We understand that this process may not always be black and white, so we’re already considering additional levels of verification and badges for artists who are able to provide us with the best evidence of their work.

Q: Who decides what’s “good enough”?

We’re not looking to create another popularity contest, and that’s where we need you to help us with honest reviews on the books you’ve purchased and the artists you love. We’ll also look at ways to curate trusted collections and highlight upcoming artists so you can find those hidden gems in the colouring community.

Q: Will this cost money?
No, the Line Art Library will be a free resource. We plan to keep it sustainable with affiliate links and unobtrusive ads… and you can always buy our team a coffee if you’re wanting to contribute to our mission!
